John Greaves (Chair)

I am originally from Codsall (near Wolverhampton) before moving to Billingsley in 2005 and have lived in Cleobury since June 2014. I married my wife Becky in 2016 after meeting her when we worked together for an Anaerobic Digestion company in Ludlow. I currently work full time for a net zero energy think-tank (Energy Research Partnership) looking at ways to decarbonise the energy mix through industrial innovation, government policy and corporate investment.

Growing up, my parents owned a holiday home in Doddington and I have happy memories of exploring the local area during my childhood. I am proud to be part of the Cleobury Mortimer community and to have the opportunity to lead the Town Council.

Neil Tysall  (Vice-Chair)

I moved to Cleobury Mortimer from Coventry in 1990 and very quickly fell for this wonderful town, its people and the beautiful countryside. I live here with my wife, Deborah, a secondary school teacher in Ludlow. We married in St Mary’s over a quarter of a century ago and have been here ever since. My parents moved to Cleobury in 2012 and this has given me a new perspective on issues, particularly those affecting the more senior members of our community.

My interests lie in public service and I am treasurer of the Cleobury Mortimer Men’s Shed association, a newly formed group which I hope we will see blossom in the near future.

I am pleased to be part of the team and I hope to make a positive contribution to our community.

Please feel free to contact me with any parish issues that you would like to discuss.

Guy James

I have lived in Cleobury since 1986 together with my wife Maggie, and it is my firm intention to never leave. It is a town to which I feel strongly connected and although I did not come here until adulthood, all of my three children were educated at the local primary and Lacon Childe schools. I spent my working career as a Chartered Surveyor, the last 35 years in the residential sector; the quality of housing therefore is of particular importance to me.

I hope that as a councillor I can contribute to the development of the town so as to improve the lives of its residents whilst at the same time to retain as much as possible of its character and sense of community.

You are welcome to contact me at any reasonable time if you have any issues which you would like to discuss.

Ken Walsh

Originally from Liverpool, I have lived in South Shropshire for over 30 years, first in Stottesdon and now in Cleobury Mortimer. I am married with grown-up children all living in different places but having benefited from attending our local schools and living in such a welcoming environment. An economist by training, I specialised in labour market policy working on projects in the UK, Europe and beyond. This gives me a particular interest in employment matters and how existing jobs in our town can be sustained and new ones created.

I want to contribute towards maintaining and enhancing the appeal of Cleobury Mortimer as a place to live, work and visit in collaboration with my fellow Councillors and all those with this shared aim.

Graziano David Abbatiello

Originally from Hertfordshire, I moved to Worcester with my parents in the 70’s and finally settled in Cleobury Mortimer 17 years ago with my wife.

I retired 2 years ago from a Worcester based engineering company after 38 years and gained a wealth of experience. I worked in both design/manufacture and sales and travelled around the world to Commision and repair equipment for both the oil industry and high-pressure water jetting applications.

I find Cleobury Mortimer a wonderful place to live with much to offer. As a town Councillor I hope to continue the good work our current and previous councillors have done for the community over the years.
