Matthew Sheehan (Clerk)

I  was born and raised in Cleobury Mortimer with my family and cousins over 50 years ago, attending Lacon Childe School from 1970 to 1975, after which I attended Kidderminster College . At the age of 19 I joined the Army as a mechanic in the REME where I served 9 years and reached the rank of Corporal. After the Army I spent a few years in Peterborough as a mechanic before returning to the area . After living  on Clee Hill for 16 years I moved back to live in Cleobury Mortimer . I have taken on the role of Clerk as I have deep connections with Cleobury Mortimer and seeing the changes over the last 50 years will do all I can for the benefits of Cleobury Mortimer and its residents.

Toby Kirkby

I was born in St Albans, Hertfordshire and first moved to Cleobury Mortimer in 1991 where I met my wife, Kerry.  Since then we have lived in East Sussex, Derbyshire and West Sussex before returning to Cleobury in 2007.

I have three children, all of whom attended or are currently attending the Primary School and Lacon Childe.

I joined the Council in 2014 and have a passion to see the best possible benefits for Cleobury residents. I am enjoying learning and embracing all the skills and qualities required for the safe and efficient future development of a town’s infrastructure such as ours and all the daily challenges that this brings.

Andy Goold

I am a married man now and I’ve returned to the world of adult learning as an industry trainer for the Sports and Leisure industry and teaching Paediatric First Aid in Schools and Nurseries.

Cleobury Mortimer is a wonderful place to live, work or visit. Yes it is changing and there are lots of influences from our larger neighbours in relation to development, housing and education but still, I honestly believe that this will benefit us all and make our town a better one for everyone.

Feel free to contact me regarding local issues.

Paul French

paul french.psdI have lived in Cleobury Mortimer since 1986.

My son attended both schools and had an excellent education at both.

I formed the Cleobury Mortimer Footpath Association with other close friends and have been proud to see how that has developed.

I was a member of the working group for our Parish Plan before being co-opted onto the Town Council.

During my time on the Council it has been a pleasure to see our community blossom and grow in strength. I am proud to have been part of that along with my Council colleagues and the very many committed individuals in our Town who strive to make Cleobury a happy, vibrant, successful and safe community in which to live.

My wish is to continue to be part of that process.

Neil Tysall  (Vice-Chair)

I moved to Cleobury Mortimer from Coventry in 1990 and very quickly fell for this wonderful town, its people and the beautiful countryside. I live here with my wife, Deborah, a secondary school teacher in Ludlow. We married in St Mary’s over a quarter of a century ago and have been here ever since. My parents moved to Cleobury in 2012 and this has given me a new perspective on issues, particularly those affecting the more senior members of our community.

My interests lie in public service and I am treasurer of the Cleobury Mortimer Men’s Shed association, a newly formed group which I hope we will see blossom in the near future.

I am pleased to be part of the team and I hope to make a positive contribution to our community.

Please feel free to contact me with any parish issues that you would like to discuss.

Cleobury Mortimer is a fantastic place to live and it is the strong community spirit and pride that I have in living in this beautiful area that led me to join the Parish Council.

John Greaves

I am originally from Codsall (near Wolverhampton) before moving to Billingsley in 2005 and have lived in Cleobury since June 2014. I married my wife Becky in 2016 after meeting her when we worked together for an Anaerobic Digestion company in Ludlow. I am currently involved with the project management of new build energy projects across the UK and have recently become freelance.

Growing up, my parents owned a holiday home in Doddington and I have happy memories of exploring the local area during my childhood. I am proud to be part of the Cleobury Mortimer community and to have the opportunity to be a member of the Town Council.

Feel free to contact me regarding any local issues.

Guy James

I have lived in Cleobury since 1986 together with my wife Maggie, and it is my firm intention to never leave. It is a town to which I feel strongly connected and although I did not come here until adulthood, all of my three children were educated at the local primary and Lacon Childe schools. I spent my working career as a Chartered Surveyor, the last 35 years in the residential sector; the quality of housing therefore is of particular importance to me.

I hope that as a councillor I can contribute to the development of the town so as to improve the lives of its residents whilst at the same time to retain as much as possible of its character and sense of community.

You are welcome to contact me at any reasonable time if you have any issues which you would like to discuss.
