Matthew Sheehan (Clerk)
I was born and raised in Cleobury Mortimer with my family and cousins over 50 years ago, attending Lacon Childe School from 1970 to 1975, after which I attended Kidderminster College . At the age of 19 I joined the Army as a mechanic in the REME where I served 9 years and reached the rank of Corporal. After the Army I spent a few years in Peterborough as a mechanic before returning to the area . After living on Clee Hill for 16 years I moved back to live in Cleobury Mortimer . I have taken on the role of Clerk as I have deep connections with Cleobury Mortimer and seeing the changes over the last 50 years will do all I can for the benefits of Cleobury Mortimer and its residence.

I have lived in Cleobury Mortimer since 2005. Prior to this, I lived in Kinlet for eleven years. I am married to Dawn and have a grown up daughter and son who were both educated at Lacon Childe school.
My career started in 1981 working within the family Engineering Distribution business based in Kidderminster (CBS Rotary Power Motion Ltd). I became Managing Director in 1995 and with the help and support of my brothers we expanded the business to a 9 branch, £7 Million sales operation, servicing the Midlands and South Wales .
In 1998 CBS was asked to become a member of IADA which was a £55 million sales turnover national alliance of independent authorised distributors, consisting of 20 independent companies across the UK. In 2006 I was asked to become the chairman of the group.
In 2007 CBS was approached by our largest competitor who were keen to acquire the business, which we subsequently sold. I remained with the new company to integrate staff up until December 2009. I am currently developing a business within the motor sport industry.
I became a Parish Councillor in June 2010 and am very pleased to be part of the team. My aims and objectives as a councillor are to help the community and add value where possible.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any parish issues that you would like to discuss.

I have resided in Cleobury Mortimer since October 2004. I have been involved in Cleobury Mortimer Bowling Club and I am the Club Secretary. I am also a member of the local branch of the Royal British Legion and a Committee member of the Parish Hall.

I have lived in Cleobury for all 18 years of my life. After leaving Lacon Childe School two years ago, I have recently completed an A levels course in Business, Economics, Politics and History at Worcester College of Technology, my chosen subjects playing a key part in my decision to join the council. I am vice-chairman of the Parish Hall committee and sit on the Cleobury Mortimer Concert Brass committee where I also lead the youth band. I currently work at Lacon Childe School in the PE department and at the Leisure Centre.
I have been living in Cleobury Mortimer with my partner Beryl for nearly three years but was situated locally for the previous six months. The purchase of the local business The Crusty Cob was the reason for us coming to the area and we have both been very pleased by the welcome we have received.
My history is that I am a Sussex boy having been born in Chichester before subsequent moves to Burnham and Basingstoke.
My main working life was with Unilever PLC as a sales executive in their personal care and toiletries operation with customers covering most of the South of England.
In 1999 I took early retirement due to looming redundancy and formed a business as a sales agent representing some twenty companies mainly involved with pharmacy sector.
Due to the breakdown in a personal relationship I found myself living in London, but every cloud has a silver lining and I re-met Beryl after many years. We found that we had a mutual interest in catering so decided to look for a tearoom and we eventually found The Crusty Cob.
I am currently a member of The Owners Club committee at Cameron House on Loch Lomond representing those owners to ensure they get memorable vacations and looking after a multi-million pound budget on their behalf.
I belong to the Unilever pensioners club and have aspirations of joining their committee.
My outside interests are transport, current affairs and the occasional sporting event whether it be two or four legged.
I am looking forward to representing the residents of Cleobury Mortimer and obtaining for them value and security.
Please feel free to contact me at any time if you have a problem.
