Councillors

Matthew Sheehan (Clerk)

I  was born and raised in Cleobury Mortimer with my family and cousins over 50 years ago, attending Lacon Childe School from 1970 to 1975, after which I attended Kidderminster College . At the age of 19 I joined the Army as a mechanic in the REME where I served 9 years and reached the rank of Corporal. After the Army I spent a few years in Peterborough as a mechanic before returning to the area . After living  on Clee Hill for 16 years I moved back to live in Cleobury Mortimer . I have taken on the role of Clerk as I have deep connections with Cleobury Mortimer and seeing the changes over the last 50 years will do all I can for the benefits of Cleobury Mortimer and its residence.

Paul French

paul french.psdI have lived in Cleobury Mortimer since 1986.

My son attended both schools and had an excellent education at both.

I formed the Cleobury Mortimer Footpath Association with other close friends and have been proud to see how that has developed.

I was a member of the working group for our Parish Plan before being co-opted onto the Parish Council.

During my time on the Council it has been a pleasure to see our community blossom and grow in strength. I am proud to have been part of that along with my Council colleagues and the very many committed individuals in our Town who strive to make Cleobury a happy, vibrant, successful and safe community in which to live.

My wish is to continue to be part of that process.

Lauraine West

I relocated from Worthing, West Sussex to Kidderminster in 2004, and moved again to the local area with my partner in 2007 where I found the local community at Cleobury Mortimer to be very friendly and welcoming to us. I am used to working in both the business world predominantly as Business Manager for an International Company where I visited businesses in Asia with their business plans including how to work together as a team and all issues affecting operational issues.

Recently, I left the corporate world and I am a Well-Being Coach working for women to regain their vitality such as the Menopause, Insomnia and Healthy Eating.

I have worked at Cleobury Country Centre and really understood how important local services are to local residents.  I understand how small businesses work and I love anything to do with health.  Mostly I enjoy knowing what your needs are and please call me.
